Background:

Matrix Systems & Technologies, Inc. recently provided critical support to American University through Web Independent Verification & Validation (Web IV&V) and the facilitation of the Web redesign for the university’s website, american.edu. The redesign aimed to transform the website into an intuitive tool that effectively portrays the university’s unique character and incorporates web services for its user community.

Services:

  • Web Independent Verification & Validation (Web IV&V)
  • Served as an independent organization to provide IV&V on a project level.
  • Worked with the university’s Web Committee to ensure the redesign stayed on schedule, adhered to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and managed budgets.
  • Organized and conducted regular meetings with vendors, faculty, staff, students, prospective students, web designers, technology developers, and information architects to gather research and incorporate findings into the project plan.

  • Participated in quality assurance and user acceptance testing of web pages and the content management system.
  • Managed day-to-day project progress to ensure all projects and work streams were on schedule and budget.
  • Enforced service level agreements and reviewed third-party vendor contract specifications.
  • Oversaw a team of technical, functional, and design resources.
